A charming winter wedding – A Never-Ever Ending Love Story
How I love these charming winter weddings in small but intimate circles. The clear skies. The mild winter sun and its mellow light. The contemplative atmosphere … How much I especially look forward to accompanying also weddings that take place outside the peak season. And this is all too true if it is a winter wedding like Lisi’s and Nicolas’s, an event that began close to my old Berlin home address, Stargarder Straße. Fabulous Diana Stimper opened up shop extra on this November Monday to do the bride’s hair and makeup. We then proceeded around the corner to Frau Rose for the flowers (and yes, that is her real name), before continuing on with a taxi to Villa Kogge, still my great favorite among the venues for exchanging wedding vows. As usual, however, the best part of it came at the end with “A never ever ending love story” on Bleibtreustraße. Is this not the perfect name for a bar where a freshly married couple wishes to celebrate tying the knot? (On top of being able to get really good coffee there too.)
