Confetti Love – A Wedding Ceremony at the Hotel de Rome
Crazy, cheerful, colourful – I love confetti! Nicole and Fabian celebrated in style with handfuls of colourful confetti in the grand ballroom at the Hotel de Rome in Berlin, and what a party it was! From now on, I’ll suggest investing in a big sack of confetti to every couple when we chat about the wedding in advance – a sprinkle of confetti adds so much fun and is a real eye-catcher on the dance floor. But let’s start at the beginning. Up in the bridal suite, with its breathtaking view of the dome of St. Hedwig’s cathedral, Mandy Klimt was already busying herself with hair and make-up. Meanwhile, the groom and his best man seize the opportunity to grab a burger from the hotel kitchen before the first wedding guests are due to arrive in the late afternoon. But take a look for yourself!
Wedding Reception in the Opera Court
It would be sacrilegious to only demean the elegant “Opera Court” at the Hotel de Rome as a bad weather option or just a plan B venue if it rains on your big day. I have no idea what took place here last century, when the hotel was still the headquarters of Dresdner Bank – but the luxurious room, where afternoon tea is normally served at the Hotel de Rome, is the ideal venue for a wedding reception. The ever-confident master of ceremonies and singer Hendrik Zietz led the emotional ceremony, before we walked through a trellis of white roses into the festively adorned ballroom – the former counter hall of the bank, where the amazing DJ Kenny Dee finally rounded off the evening and really got the confetti flying.
Oh, did I mention that I love confetti? Many thanks, once again, to Nicole and Fabian for the enormous privilege of allowing me to spend your special day with you and letting me show some of the most beautiful moments here. It was a great pleasure!
